A woman, Love Thomas, has approached an Upper Customary Court in Kaduna seeking to dissolve her marriage to her husband, Joshua, over alleged abandonment and violence.
Her counsel, Victoria Omajawu, prayed the court to dissolve the union on grounds of neglect. She also requested an order restraining the defendant from threatening or disturbing her client’s peace.
The defendant was absent during the proceedings.
Presiding Judge, Mrs Patience Musa, adjourned the case until Oct. 14 for hearing.
