The University of Port Harcourt has taken another bold step in strengthening its academic foundation with the official presentation of its updated Academic Brief for the 2025 to 2035 cycle.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill, received the comprehensive document from the Director of Academic Planning, Professor Eucharia Nwaichi, and her team. The updated brief highlights the university’s curriculum, academic programs, centres, institutes, departments, faculties, governance structures, and academic calendar of activities.
Prof. Georgewill commended Professor Nwaichi and her team for the painstaking effort that went into producing the document. He described the Academic Brief as a vital reference material that showcases growth and improvements within the university and will serve as a guide for staff and regulators such as the National Universities Commission, TETFund, the Federal Ministry of Education, and other governing councils.
The new Academic Brief positions the University of Port Harcourt to continue advancing in excellence, innovation, and service to society, while reinforcing its role as a leading institution in Nigeria and beyond.
