The University of Port Harcourt has officially commenced its second semester and end-of-session examinations, marking another crucial phase in the academic calendar. According to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill, the conduct of examinations across all venues has been closely monitored to ensure smooth operations and strict compliance with institutional guidelines.

Reports from the monitoring exercise indicate that both staff and students are conducting themselves in accordance with the rules and regulations guiding the examinations. Prof. Georgewill expressed satisfaction with the level of discipline observed so far, adding that the University is committed to maintaining credibility and excellence in its examination process.

The Vice Chancellor wished all students a successful second semester examination, while also addressing final-year students on the culture of “signing out.” He reiterated that wild celebrations at the conclusion of examinations are not permitted, emphasizing that the official sign-out exercise is only valid after the successful defense of projects. “Sign out without project defense is no sign out,” he stated.

With this firm stance, the University management is reinforcing its commitment to academic integrity, discipline, and orderliness as it guides students towards the successful completion of their studies.
