Four senior officers from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) are currently participating in a strategic staff capacity development workshop organized by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). The two-day event, aimed at enhancing human capital across beneficiary institutions, is being held in Port Harcourt.
The selected UNIPORT representatives were nominated as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency and professional growth among its workforce. The workshop is designed to equip participants with practical skills, insights, and tools for more effective service delivery in their respective offices.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Owunari Georgewill, who confirmed the participation via a social media post, the university is committed to ensuring its personnel benefit from high-impact training opportunities. He encouraged the attendees to take the sessions seriously and to apply the knowledge gained toward improving institutional operations.
“We urged the staff to ensure they pay attention to details in the training and develop their capacities in their respective offices,” the Vice-Chancellor stated.
Photographs from the event show the UNIPORT delegates actively engaging with facilitators and fellow participants. The workshop is part of TETFund’s broader initiative to build sustainable institutional capacity and enhance governance in Nigeria’s higher education sector.
The University of Port Harcourt continues to prioritize staff development as a cornerstone of its administrative and academic advancement strategy.
