The University of Port Harcourt marked another milestone in its academic tradition with the Class Day activities for its 35th Combined Convocation. As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations commemorating 50 years of academic excellence, the event brought together key stakeholders in the university community for an engaging and impactful session.

Held at the prestigious CBN Centre of Excellence auditorium, the Class Day featured interactions between the University Management, Provost, Deans, staff, and the 2025 graduating class. Students from the College of Health Sciences and other faculties gathered to share experiences and reflect on their academic journey at Uniport.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Owunari Georgewill, alongside other university leaders, commended the graduands for their resilience and encouraged them to embrace life beyond the university walls with confidence. Deans and academic staff offered valuable life tips, stressing the importance of discipline, innovation, and continuous learning in the real world.

The interactive session was not only a platform for reflection but also an opportunity to strengthen the bond between students and the administration. It served as a reminder of Uniport’s legacy in shaping future leaders and professionals across Nigeria and beyond.

As Uniport celebrates its 50th anniversary, the 35th Convocation stands as a testament to the university’s enduring commitment to excellence, growth, and transformation in education.
