The University of Lagos (UNILAG) will commence online registration for its Post-UTME screening exercise on Monday, July 28, for admission into undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This was announced in a statement issued by the institution’s Registrar One and Secretary to Council, Mrs Abosede Wickliffe, and published on the university’s official website on Friday.

According to the statement, the registration exercise will close on August 20.

“Eligible candidates who made UNILAG their first choice in the 2025/2026 UTME and scored 200 and above are qualified to apply for the Post-UTME online screening,” it stated.

Candidates are also required to have five credit passes in relevant Ordinary Level (O/Level) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in one sitting.

Only candidates who upload their O/Level results on or before September 12 will be considered for admission.

The university added that candidates who will not attain the age of 16 by September 30 are not eligible to apply. It further stated that applicants who fail to participate in the Post-UTME online aptitude test will not be considered for admission.

Applicants were advised to use only their personal and active email addresses during registration, as these would serve as the official channels of communication.

Former students of the university whose admissions were withdrawn due to poor academic performance or prolonged absence may reapply, but only for new programmes different from their previous courses.

“Any student expelled from the university cannot be offered fresh admission,” the statement noted.

It also emphasised that UNILAG maintains a zero-tolerance policy for drug abuse and would not hesitate to withdraw the admission of any student who tests positive for drug use, whether before or after registration.

The mock examination for the Post-UTME online aptitude test will hold from Monday, August 25, to Wednesday, August 27. The main screening exercise is scheduled to take place from September 1 to September 5.
