The U83 Medical graduate set of the University of Port Harcourt remodeled the Delta Park gate of the institution, reinforcing their commitment to enhancing the university’s aesthetics and infrastructure.
In an exclusive statement to StarReporters, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill, praised the efforts of the alumni, describing their contributions as instrumental in the university’s ongoing infrastructural upgrades.
“The U83 Medical graduate set has demonstrated a commendable sense of responsibility and commitment to their alma mater. Their initiative, which previously saw the renovation of the two gates at Abuja Park, has now extended to Delta Park, significantly improving the university’s visual appeal and accessibility,” Prof. Georgewill said.
He urged other graduating sets to emulate this initiative, emphasizing the impact of alumni-led projects in fostering long-term development within the institution.
In a video obtained by correspondence, the remodeling project involved refurbishing the gate structure and repainting key sections to enhance its outlook.
