The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has concluded plans to hold a national town-hall meeting aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and stakeholder participation in the tertiary education sector.
This was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by Dr Mansur Liman, Special Assistant to the Chairman of the TETFund Board of Trustees.
According to Liman, the event, scheduled for Wednesday in Abuja, will be chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Alhaji Aminu Masari.
He said the meeting would provide an avenue for open dialogue between TETFund and key education stakeholders, while also highlighting the Fund’s achievements and impact on Nigeria’s tertiary education landscape.
“This initiative underscores TETFund’s commitment to accountability and inclusiveness in the discharge of its mandate. This town-hall meeting will serve as an important platform to bridge the gap between TETFund and the Nigerian public, ensuring that our mandate and interventions are better understood and appreciated nationwide,” Liman stated.
He added that the meeting would feature two keynote presentations by leading education experts, with participants expected to include policymakers, academics, civil society representatives, students, and members of the general public.
“The interactive sessions will allow attendees to engage directly with TETFund leadership and share suggestions for improving the Fund’s operations and interventions,” he said.
