Vice-President Kashim Shettima arrived in London on Monday to receive the body of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Sunday after a prolonged illness.

His visit follows a directive from President Bola Tinubu. Shettima was accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Upon arrival, the vice-president was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum.

Shettima is expected to accompany the late president’s remains back to Nigeria for burial in Daura, Katsina State.
