Rivers State Governor Urges Detractors to Stop Demarketing the State

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has called on critics to cease efforts aimed at undermining the reputation of the state. The governor made this plea during the inauguration of the Kalaibiama Road in Opobo-Nkoro Local Government Area on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, Gov. Fubara emphasized that Rivers State belongs to all its residents and warned that engaging in a media war would lead to disastrous consequences. He expressed sorrow over the absence of three prominent community figures who passed away before the project’s completion, highlighting their contributions to the region.

During the inauguration ceremony, Senator Adawari Pepple commended Gov. Fubara’s administration, noting that it has inaugurated the highest number of projects in the past 18 years. The Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Enyiada Cookey-Gam, also expressed gratitude to the governor for his attention to the local government and pledged the unwavering support of the community.
