The Police Service Commission (PSC) has urged the Police Academy in Wudil, Kano, to ensure a smooth and transparent admission screening process in line with global best practices.
This was stated by the PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), during a visit to the Academy to monitor the ongoing screening of candidates for admission.
According to a statement issued by the Head of Press and Public Relations of the Commission, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, in Kano on Friday, Argungu commended the Commandant, AIG Patrick Atayero, for promoting unity and collaboration among stakeholders and advised the management to benchmark its operations with other leading academies worldwide.
He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to supporting the Academy in its quest to achieve global excellence.
Atayero, in his remarks, briefed the PSC Chairman on the smooth conduct of the screening exercise.
