Gov. Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers, on Thursday said that Rivers State Government would continue to do everything possible to make life easier and meaningful for the residents of Rivers.

Fubara gave the assurance while addressing the crowd of protesters against “EndBadGovernance”at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Fubara said that thanked the protesters for conducting themselves peacefully while protesting for better Nigeria, saying that he feel their pains as the current inflation affects everyone in the country.

“Our only worry is that some people are try to take advantage of this protest to destroy our state, but we will not allow it.

“I want to thank you for being peaceful, I already know your problem we will communicate them to the Federal government.

“It is not easy but we know quite well that very soon everything will be well, starting from our state.

“What we need from you is to support the government, support the policy, in the beginning of the policy it might be harsh but at the end everything will be fine, we are going to make sure that we make life easy for you.

“We agreed there is hunger, we are going to support you and hunger will go, but we don’t want you to engage in any violent activities.we will not want you to join force with the enemy of progress in the state,”Fubara said.
