The Victor Oko-Jumbo led Rivers State House of Assembly have invited eight commissioner-nominees for screening and confirmation as members of the state executive council.
They are Mr. Prince Charles O. Bekee, Mr. Collins N. Onunwo, Mr. Solomon Eke, Sir. Dr. Peter N. Medee, Mr. Elloka Tasie Amadi, Mr. Basoene Joshua Benibo.
Others are Mr. Tambari Sydney Gbara, and Dr. Ovy Orluideye Chinendum Chukwuma.
They are to appear before the Hallowed Chamber, Rivers State House of Assembly, Auditorium, Admin. Block, Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt, on Tuesday by 10:00am.
This is coming shortly after the commissioner for education, Prof. Chinedu Mmom, Housing, Dr. Gift Worlu, Environment, Austen Ben-Chioma, Social Welfare-Inime Aguma and Transport-Jacobson Nbina, resigned.
It is purported that the nominees if successfully screened and confirmed, will be filling the vacant positions created by those who decided to leave.
A release by the Clerk of the House, G.M. Gillis-West, revealed that the nominees are expected to come along with twelve sets of their Curriculum Vitae and, the originals and photocopies of their credentials.
