The University of Port Harcourt yesterday evening hosted officials from the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for a Resource Verification exercise at the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM).

During the visit, the verification team carried out a detailed inspection of the department’s facilities, academic resources, and general learning environment. At the end of their assessment, the officials expressed their delight with what they observed and commended the department for the level of preparedness, quality of infrastructure, and commitment to academic excellence.

This positive evaluation underscores the University’s sustained investment in quality education, as well as the dedication of the faculty leadership, academic staff, non-academic staff, and students who collectively contribute to the advancement of teaching, learning, and research.

The University of Port Harcourt remains optimistic that the outcome of this exercise will further enhance the academic standing of the HTM Department and expand opportunities for innovation and growth.
