The Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) says it has completed the second phase of its school renovation project in Rivers State.
Managing Director of NLNG, Mr. Philip Mshelbila, made this known during the commissioning of two newly rehabilitated schools, Model Boys Secondary School, Omoku, and Community Secondary School, Amadi-Ama in Port Harcourt.
Speaking through the company’s Manager of Corporate Relations and Sustainable Development, Yemi Adeyemi, Mshelbila said the projects were executed in collaboration with the Rivers State Ministry of Education.
He described the intervention as part of NLNG’s Corporate Social Responsibility agenda, focused on sustainability and shared prosperity.
The company renovated science laboratories, upgraded junior and senior classrooms, rebuilt administrative blocks, and constructed new NYSC lodges and toilet facilities.
The Rivers State Ministry of Education, through its Permanent Secretary, Dr. Azibaolanari Uzoma-Nwogu, commended NLNG for what she called “corporate leadership driven by empathy and foresight.”
She added that the gesture is an example other companies should emulate.
