The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) has awarded postgraduate scholarships to seven graduates for master’s degree programmes in the United Kingdom.

Mrs. Sophia Horsfall, NLNG’s General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday in Port Harcourt by the company’s spokesperson, Mrs. Anne-Marie Palmer-Ikuku.

Horsfall said the beneficiaries were selected through a rigorous screening process and would pursue courses critical to national development.

The courses include Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Management, Advanced Chemical Engineering, Marine and Offshore Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, Industrial Robotics, and Advanced Structural Engineering.

“These scholars represent the best of Nigeria’s talent, and we are proud to support their journey towards global excellence. The scholarship covers tuition, living expenses, accommodation, travel, and other academic-related costs,” Horsfall said.

She explained that the scheme demonstrates NLNG’s commitment to sustainable development through investment in human capital, adding that it also commemorates the company’s 35 years of incorporation and 25 years of successful operations.

According to her, the postgraduate scholarship programme has benefited no fewer than 523 graduates since its inception, creating a network of professionals contributing to development both locally and internationally.
