The police command in Anambra has commended the Nigeria Police Force management for enhancing its operations with the deployment of a new Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC).
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, on Monday in Awka.
According to the Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, the APC will significantly strengthen the command’s operational effectiveness.
“The APC will help tackle emerging security challenges and reinforce ongoing efforts to maintain peace, law, and order across the state,” he said.
Orutugu appreciated the sustained support of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, noting that his proactive leadership had led to improvements in logistics, welfare, and personnel morale nationwide.
He reassured residents of the command’s renewed commitment to safeguarding lives and property and called for public cooperation to ensure a secure environment for all.
