In a bid to enhance security in the Niger Delta region, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has donated advanced security communication gadgets to the Rivers State Command of the Nigeria Police Force. The initiative, initially launched by former Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, was successfully completed by the current commissioner, Mohammed Mustapha.

During the handover ceremony, CP Mustapha was represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Samuel Erale, who expressed gratitude to the NDDC for the completion of the project. He highlighted that the new communication gadgets will significantly improve the state’s security system.

Former Commissioner Olatunji Disu, who participated in the event virtually, expressed his delight at the project’s completion and assured the NDDC that the equipment would be used judiciously to safeguard lives and property in Rivers State.

Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director of the NDDC, stated that the initiative aims to enhance the communication capabilities of the police command, thereby supporting their mission to protect the community.
