The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Rivers State has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for being among the first governors to implement the new minimum wage.
Gift Jumbo, the Acting Chairman of NYCN in Rivers State, expressed that Governor Fubara’s actions demonstrate his genuine care and affection for civil servants in the state. She urged civil servants to reciprocate this gesture by showing dedication and loyalty to the Fubara administration.
In addition to the new minimum wage, Jumbo praised Governor Fubara for approving the hiring of an additional one thousand healthcare workers. She also recognized the governor’s swift actions in rehabilitating struggling health facilities and constructing new ones across the state.
The council’s endorsement reflects a growing wave of support for the governor’s initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of workers and enhancing healthcare services in Rivers State.
