The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out successful airstrikes that destroyed three terrorist gun trucks and eliminated scores of insurgents north of Chiralia in Borno State.

According to Group Captain Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information, the strikes were launched based on “actionable intelligence” from ground troops, who tracked the movement of three gun trucks from Sabon Gari toward Chiralia.

Responding swiftly, the Air Component deployed fighter jets for an Air Interdiction (AI) mission. Upon arrival at the target location, NAF pilots identified multiple terrorists and their gun trucks concealed under trees. With precision strikes, the aircraft unleashed rockets and cannons, obliterating two of the vehicles. As the insurgents attempted to reposition the third truck, a follow-up strike destroyed it completely.

The overwhelming firepower left all targeted vehicles in flames, while several terrorists attempting to flee were neutralized in the aftermath.
