The Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party (LP) in Enugu State, Mr Titus Odo, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside Prince Emeka Mamah, a former Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs and State Coordinator of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign in 2023.
The duo, who left the PDP for the LP during the 2023 general elections, were officially received at the PDP State Secretariat by the state party chairman, Dr Martin Chukwunwike.
“We are happy to have them in our midst and God has set this party on a good foot as 2027 is already assured,” Chukwunwike said, adding that Governor Peter Mbah had directed the party to reconcile with former members.
Odo said he was motivated to return by Governor Mbah’s developmental strides, the defection of LP governorship candidate Dr Chijioke Edeoga, and ongoing transformation efforts by Igboeze North Council Chairman, Mr Uchenna Ogara.
“I am happy to tell you that I am back to my home. I came back because of the giant developmental strides of Gov Mbah and I say kudos to him,” Odo said.
Mamah, for his part, thanked PDP leaders at the local, zonal, and state levels for welcoming him back, praising Mbah’s inclusive approach and governance.
