Mr. Ojoi Ekpenyong, Managing Director of the Cross River Tourism Bureau, announced that the upcoming Kulturama Festival, scheduled for February 13-16, 2025, will provide a unique opportunity to highlight the story and culture of Cross River State. Speaking at a press conference in Calabar, Ekpenyong emphasized the festival’s potential as a significant platform to showcase the state to a global audience.

The Kulturama Festival is being organized by Delfaro Production in collaboration with the Cross River Tourism Bureau. According to the organizers, the event will celebrate the state’s rich culinary arts, cultural heritage, and local talents.

Set to take place at the popular Marina Resort in Calabar, the festival will also feature exciting competitions and performances by professional bikers. Ekpenyong praised the event’s organizers for their commitment to promoting Cross River’s image and enhancing its tourism potential. He stated, “We are happy to collaborate with the organizers. The event aligns with Governor Bassey Otu’s vision for fostering private sector partnerships in development.”

Mr. Harmony Ikwoh, Director of the Kulturama Festival and Managing Director of Delfaro Production, emphasized that the festival aims to showcase Cross River’s rich heritage. “As a state, we have not really done well in showcasing what we have. This is an opportunity to do so,” Ikwoh remarked.

Mrs. Justina Ovat, Programme Coordinator for Kulturama, added that the festival will not only promote tourism but also aid in talent discovery, featuring competitions in culinary arts and various other fields. She noted, “This event will help to showcase the rich culture of Cross River to the outside world.”
