Renowned Afrobeats star Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has released a new EP titled “Lemon Chase.”
Christian Agadibe, Chief Executive Officer of Artmatazz Media, a media company representing the artist, shared details of the release during an interview with StarReporters in Enugu on Thursday.
Agadibe described the seven-track project as more than just a preview of Kizz Daniel’s forthcoming album, “Uncle K”. He said the EP captures themes of love, loss, peace, and joy—emotions that listeners from all walks of life can connect with.
“Each track on the EP reflects a different piece of that emotional puzzle,” he said.
Beginning with “Black Girl Magic” and ending with “Police”—a track featuring Mavin Records’ Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo—the project explores a wide emotional spectrum through sound.
“For the ‘Lemon Chase’ EP, Kizz Daniel brings together a powerful lineup of well-known artistes, each adding their unique style,” Agadibe explained.
He highlighted the combination of Johnny Drille’s and Kidjo’s soulful voices with the street-inspired energy of Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, Zlatan, and Fola, who previously collaborated with Kizz Daniel on the hit single “Lost.”
“Together, they create a rich, dynamic sound that defines the spirit of the project,” he added.
Production credits include Reward Beatz, Blaise Beatz, Magic Sticks, Bando, and Ayzed—producers with a history of chart-topping collaborations with the artist.
Reward Beatz, along with Bando and Blaise Beatz, produced “Eyo” and “Black Girl Magic.” Blaise Beatz also led production on “Secure” and “Peace I Chose.” “Titi” was produced by Magic Sticks with co-production from Reward Beatz and Blaise Beatz, while “Al Jannah” was crafted by Ayzed.
Quoting Kizz Daniel, Agadibe said, “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life; sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart—for when you’re healing, hoping or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic and true to self.”
He added that “Lemon Chase” marks continued growth for the artist—not just as a hitmaker but as a fearless storyteller.
“The EP sets the tone for ‘Uncle K’ and reminds us the name Kizz Daniel would always be remembered for,” he said.
