ICPC Launches Tracking of Over N10 Billion Constituency Projects in Osun State
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has initiated a tracking exercise for constituency projects worth over N10 billion executed by federal lawmakers in Osun State. Mrs. Mary Oke, head of the ICPC team, made the announcement on Saturday during the monitoring of projects in regions including Osogbo, Ilobu, Kuta, and Ede.
The tracking is part of the ICPC’s broader mandate to foster accountability and transparency in public project implementation. Oke emphasized that this initiative will help assess the status of various constituency and executive projects throughout the state, ensuring that public resources are effectively utilized to deliver quality infrastructure and services to citizens.
“We have commenced the seventh phase of our tracking exercise in Osun, focusing on projects valued at N10,470,872,906.60,” Oke stated. “The aim is to guarantee that government-funded projects provide value for money and are executed according to established specifications.”
Oke urged relevant stakeholders, including community leaders and civil society organizations, to support the commission’s efforts in the tracking exercise. She encouraged them to share pertinent information that could aid the ICPC in achieving its objectives.
