The world football governing body, FIFA, has announced the distribution of $125 million to football clubs across the globe, settling outstanding payments related to the transfers of their former players.

The funds were processed through FIFA’s finance house in Paris, which still holds a backlog of an additional $200 million that is yet to be disbursed.

FIFA stated that the payments are being allocated to over 5,000 grassroots and professional clubs through the FIFA Clearing House, highlighting the organization’s commitment to ensuring that clubs receive their due amounts from player transfers.
