Former President Muhammadu Buhari has donated a cow and food items to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in his hometown, Daura, in Katsina State.
The gesture, meant for the Sallah celebration, was announced in a statement by the NYSC Public Relations Officer, Mr Alex Obemeata.
According to the statement, the items were delivered by the Danmadanin Daura, Alhaji Musa Haro, and received by the NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Sa’idu.
Represented by the NYSC Local Government Inspector in Daura, Alhaji Nurudeen Salisu, Sa’idu said the donation demonstrated the former president’s continued commitment to supporting the NYSC scheme and his local community even after leaving office.

He noted that it had been Buhari’s tradition to celebrate with corps members during Sallah visits to Daura throughout his tenure.
The coordinator offered prayers for good health and divine blessings for the former president and his family.
