The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-ul-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be unto him).

The Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, in his Eid-ul-Maulud message on Friday in Abuja, encouraged Muslims to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and live in line with the dictates of Islam.

Adegbite, in a statement signed by Mr Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations, urged Muslims to intercede in prayer for one another.

He called on them to preach peace and uphold the President, Vice President, and all national leaders in prayer.

The NCPC boss further appealed to Muslims to pray for improvement in the country’s fragile security situation and support the administration’s efforts to address current challenges.

He also encouraged the faithful to use the Eid-ul-Maulud celebration to educate and enlighten their followers on Islamic injunctions through lectures and symposia.
