The Deeper Life Church,on Sunday seeked to collaborate with church leaders, mosque leaders,traditional rulers,academia, women, men and youths to rebuild societal values.

The Overseas of Deeper Life in Rivers,Andrew Osagie, made the call during a meeting to unveil the Maiden Edition of “Change Makers International Initiative”in Port Harcourt.

Osagie said that the Change Makers International Initiative, an Inter-Religious Organisation conceived by the General Oversea of Deper Life Church,Williams Kumuyi to adress the growing challenges in the country.

Osagie said that the Change Movement was important to help build values of integrity, transparency and honesty and also make the society healthy and better.

He said that the initiative was designed to bring together all churches, mosques, traditional rulers, academia, youths, men and women to work towards rebuilding Nigeria through reorientation of family values.

Osagie assured that the progress would help reduce the unrest, challenges and current pain in the country.

According to Osagie the programme would be transmitted globally with the conferences of men and women, tagged “Change Makers.”

He stated that the Conference would focus on personal growth, leadership, social impact, and building a legacy of integrity for the nation .

“The conference will commence on Aug.15, till Aug.20 at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia, in Port Harcourt, and will be declared open by the General Overseas, Williams Kumuyi

“The conference will feature engaging speakers, interactive workshops, and meaningful discussions designed to empower men and women to lead lives of purposeful impact, integrity and influence in Nigeria.

“It is time to empower families to be Change Makers,if moral is lost at the family level, it will affect the society, but if moral value is sustained at the family, the society will be healthy,Osagie said.

He called on the people irrespective of religion to be part of the needed change that will transform,and rebuild the moral values needed as a country to sustain integrity, transparency, and accountability.

In a remark, Mr Rex Igiri,the Managing Director of Wave FM Port Harcourt, expressed displeasure some policies in the country had weaponised hunger, and crime among the people.

Igiri explained that the situation was pathetic to the level that clergy men instead of focusing on building men and women with moral values, goes to government for contracts leaving their primary duties.

According to him, when the clergymen resort to chasing contracts they may shift focus from preaching moral values to prosperity, so our clergymen are to focus on their calling and help to rebuild the nation where government will be able to take Counsel from them like it was in the holy book.

The Starreporter, reports that the dignitaries present includes, the representatives of the Penticostal Fellowship of Nigeria(PFN),in Rivers, the representatives of the Islamic Affairs in Rivers, Heads of different churches, accademia,Journalists,among others.
