The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has encouraged Muslims to extend kindness to the less privileged during the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking at the Al-Habibiyya Mosque in Abuja during a mass Iftar gathering, Adeniyi praised the initiative, which provides daily meals for around 2,500 fasting individuals. He emphasized the significance of helping those in need, especially during Ramadan.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection, sacrifice, and generosity. It is our duty to ensure that those who lack resources have a way to break their fast. This noble act aligns with Islamic teachings, and I urge more organizations to take up similar efforts,” he said.

He also highlighted the importance of organization and discipline in public programs, noting that structured planning made it possible to feed thousands efficiently.The Chief Imam of Al-Habibiyya Mosque, Sheik Fuad Adeyemi, reaffirmed the mosque’s commitment to supporting the underprivileged regardless of faith.

“When people in need are given help and dignity, society as a whole benefits. We hope this initiative inspires more acts of kindness,” he stated.

Starreporters correspondence reports that the event saw the participation of Islamic scholars, faith-based organizations, and members of the Muslim community from different backgrounds.
