Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has removed Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko from her position as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development with immediate effect.

This was announced in a statement issued by Mr Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, on Monday.

He explained that the decision formed part of a minor adjustment to the composition of the State Executive Council.

“The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko, has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect. The governor thanks her for her service to the state and wishes her success in future endeavours,” Gidado stated.
