The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says the party is not distracted by 2027 politicking.

The party’s spokesman, Seye Oladejo, stated this on Friday while reacting to Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed’s allegation that the APC and the Federal Government were prioritising politics over governance.

Oladejo described the governor’s remark as “a misplaced outburst from a frustrated opposition,” stressing that President Bola Tinubu and the APC remained focused on governance.

“Tinubu and the APC are fully committed to bold reforms in the economy, security, infrastructure and institutional development. This administration has chosen to face the tough challenges of nation-building head-on, while some in the opposition are busy grandstanding in the media,” he said.

He urged Mohammed to emulate Lagos as “an example of consistent, visionary and people-centred governance under the APC,” adding that governance was “the hard work of delivering results, not press statements.”

“The APC is not distracted by 2027. When election time comes, our performance will be our campaign,” Oladejo said.

He advised the Bauchi governor to focus on addressing the developmental needs of his state rather than “baseless attacks” on the APC and the Federal Government.
