American Hospital Dubai has announced plans to open a representative office in Abuja, Nigeria, set to launch in December 2024. The new office will serve as a key link between the hospital and Nigerian patients, providing easier access to advanced medical care in Dubai.

This move follows the successful launch of the hospital’s first Nigerian office in Lagos on August 19, 2024. The Lagos office was officially commissioned by the UAE Consulate General in Nigeria, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mandoos, alongside the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, who represented Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

According to Prince Tonye Princewill, Board Member of American Hospital Dubai Nigeria Limited, the hospital plans to expand its presence in Nigeria with additional representative offices. “We want to ensure broader access to our services by setting up more offices. The Abuja office will serve as another healthcare ’embassy’, bridging the gap between enquiries and travel to the American Hospital Dubai for medical treatment. We’re popular with Nigerians, but we don’t want to take them for granted.”

The Abuja office will provide assistance with visas, flights, and accommodation to Nigerian patients seeking medical treatment in Dubai. This expansion reflects the first phase of American Hospital Dubai’s commitment to investing in Nigeria and improving healthcare access for its people.

The hospital has also announced plans for a state-of-the-art diagnostic center in Nigeria, further solidifying its commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to Nigerian patients. With the opening of the Abuja office, American Hospital Dubai is poised to become a major player in the Nigerian healthcare sector.
