The Akwa Ibom State Executive Council has approved a draft budget estimate of ₦955 billion for the 2025 fiscal year. This decision was announced by the state Commissioner of Information, Ini Ememobong, following a council meeting convened by Governor Umo Eno at the Government House in Uyo.

The proposed budget outlines a clear allocation plan, with ₦300 billion earmarked for recurrent expenditure, while ₦655 billion is set aside for capital projects aimed at fostering development in the state.

This budget approval reflects the state government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and public services, paving the way for economic growth and improved quality of life for residents.
