The Coach of Kwara United FC of IlorinKwara, Tunde Sanni, says that he is under pressure following his team’s recent poor performances.
Sanni told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the 2-0 loss to Akwa United in Ilorin on Sunday in a match day 30 of the NPFL was shocking.
“If anybody does not put me under pressure, I will put myself, how can I lose 2-0 at home” Sanni said.
The Kwara United gaffer said he is worried about the team’s poor performance in front of goal, condemning the ratio to be too bad.
“If not because of our poor showing in front of goal, we should be contesting for the league by now” he said.
He maintained that the match day 31 encounter against Nasarawa United on Wednesday in Ilorin, was another chance to bounce back from the match day 30 defeat to Akwa United in Ilorin.
Meanwhile, the management of the team has issued a stern warning to its technical crew, urging them to step up and ensure a strong finish to the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Media Officer of the team, Ayodeji Ismail, said in a statement on Monday in Ilorin that, the Club Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, through the General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, apologised to fans and supporters for the team’s recent poor performances.
He emphasised that because the club’s management does not interfere in team selection, they expect better results moving forward.
