The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has advised passport applicants to avoid patronizing unauthorized agents when processing their applications.

In a statement issued on Tuesday via its X platform, the agency urged Nigerians to make payments directly through its official website, passport.immigration.gov.ng, warning against third-party involvement.

“Do not patronize third-party agents! Stay vigilant! If you see something, say something,” the statement emphasized.

The NIS reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for corruption.

“The service remains committed to ensuring transparency and maintains its zero tolerance for all forms of corruption,” it added.

Applicants were encouraged to report any cases involving unauthorized agents through the official complaint channels, including https://immigration.gov.ng/accordions/passport/, via email at nisservicom@immigration.gov.ng, or by calling +2348021819988 and +23480607900.
