Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), Lagos State PDP gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 election, says sincere leadership and citizens’ efforts are key to tackling Nigeria’s many challenges.

He said this in a statement by his spokesman, Mr Gbenga Ogunkeye, on Saturday in Lagos.

Adediran spoke shortly after completing Umrah pilgrimage (Lesser Hajj) in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, on Friday.

“Nigerians should remain steadfast in faith, fostering love, tolerance, and a sense of collective responsibility.

“I believe sincere leadership and citizens’ unity will help Lagos and Nigeria attain greater social and economic progress.

“I used this spiritual journey to seek God’s intervention for Lagos State and Nigeria.

“With faith, unity, and genuine love for our nation, we can overcome challenges and build a better future for all,” Adediran stated.

Adediran, who recently joined All Progressives Congress (APC), said the lesser hajj reflected his deep faith and prayers for peace and prosperity during the holy month of Ramadan.

He prayed for divine wisdom for Nigeria’s leaders, safety for all residents, and overall progress for Lagos and the nation.

Adediran stressed the importance of unity, justice, and inclusive governance that prioritises the people’s welfare.

He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for policies that promote equity, positive change, and sustainable development across the state and country.
