Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) has hailed Gov. Abdullahi Sule for the implementation of the Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS) for parliamentary workers in the state.
The National President of PASAN, Mr Mohammed Usman, gave the commendation at the 25th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the association in Lafia on Thursday.
Usman also expressed gratitude to Gov. Sule for his visionary leadership, which has transformed the state positively.
According to him, Sule also deserves commendation for regular promotions and other welfare packages to PASAN members.
“Under Sule’s administration, Nasarawa State has witnessed unprecedented progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social welfare programs.
“Sule’s commitment to improving the lives of the people of Nasarawa is commendable, and it serves as an inspiration to leaders across the nation,” he said.
The national president also appreciated the speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Danladi Jatau, for his love and continued support to PASAN and its members and called for its sustenance.
“The speaker’s leadership has been instrumental in fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and professionalism within the legislative arm of government,” he said.
He further urged all PASAN members to bring issues that would enhance the growth and development of the union and its members.
Earlier, Mr Suleiman Oshafa, the Chairman of PASAN Nasarawa State Chapter, thanked Sule and Jatau for their efforts in improving the welfare of PASAN members.
“Let me mention that the chapter could not have achieved the implementation of CONLESS and other fringe benefits for staff without the duo’s commitment to workers welfare.
“Regularisation of the appointment of casual staff, prompt implementation of promotions, and appointment of permanent secretaries was due to the workers friendly disposition of our amiable governor and the speaker,” he said.
Oshafa assured his colleagues that his administration would continue to initiate different policies and programmes that would have a direct bearing on the lives of the members.
The PASAN chairman appreciated the governor, speaker, NEC members, and other members for ensuring the success of the event.
