Gani Topba: Majority of Rivers People Support Governor Fubara Amid Political Crisis

As the political crisis in Rivers State continues, Gani Topba, leader of the Conscience of Ogoni People, has expressed confidence in the support Governor Siminalayi Fubara enjoys from the majority of Rivers residents due to his effective leadership style.

During an appearance on Rhythm’s news and current affairs program, “Viewpoint,” Topba asserted that Governor Fubara does not need to attract politicians from former Governor Nyesom Wike’s camp, indicating that the current administration’s focus should remain on governance rather than political maneuvering.

Topba further emphasized that there is a divine influence in the affairs of Rivers State, suggesting that progress is being made despite the ongoing challenges. He commended Governor Fubara for his achievements across various sectors, stating that the governor has performed admirably despite detractors who may not have the state’s best interests at heart.

His remarks highlight a growing belief among some constituents that Governor Fubara’s leadership is fostering positive change in Rivers State, even amidst political turmoil.
