Olayemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has made an earnest appeal to Nigerian youths, urging them not to leave the country. In his keynote address at the 59th annual Bankers Dinner hosted by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Cardoso expressed optimism about the ongoing reforms and policies being implemented by the CBN.
He reassured attendees that these initiatives are designed to benefit all Nigerians and are fundamentally aimed at fostering economic development.
“The CBN is committed to building an economy that empowers businesses and creates opportunities for all,” Cardoso stated, emphasizing the bank’s dedication to enhancing the economic landscape for future generations.
His remarks come amid widespread concerns about emigration trends among the youth, as many seek better opportunities abroad. Cardoso’s address sought to inspire confidence in the potential for growth and stability within Nigeria.
