A 23-year-old man, Samuel Destiny, was on Friday arraigned before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, over the alleged theft of N804,429.
Destiny, whose address was not disclosed, faced a one-count charge of stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp. Adegeshin Famuyiwa told the court that the defendant committed the offence between April 13 and May 27, at No. 1, Tunji Shofekun Street, Igbogbo, Ikorodu.
He said the money allegedly stolen belonged to TAGS Farm Shop Ventures.
Famuyiwa noted that the offence contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate A. O. Ogbe granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000, with two sureties in like sum.
He directed that one of the sureties must be a blood relative and provide proof of livelihood.
The case was adjourned until Oct. 9 for mention.
