U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a fresh ultimatum of about 10 to 12 days for Russian President Vladimir Putin to begin negotiations over the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
Trump made the announcement during a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Scotland on Monday.
“There is no reason in waiting,” the U.S. President said, while reaffirming his commitment to fast-tracking efforts for a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
When asked by reporters to clarify the timeline, Trump stated, “I am going to make a new deadline of about 10 or 12 days from today.”
