Gov. Umaru Bago of Niger has dissolved the state executive council with immediate effect.
Mr Ibrahim Bologi, Chief Press Secretary to the governor, announced this in a statement on Monday in Minna.
According to the statement, the governor made the announcement during the state Executive Council meeting held the same day.
Bologi said the governor appreciated the outgoing cabinet members for their service to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He added that Bago, however, retained key officials including the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff and other principal officers in his office.
